Summit Engineering Joins the Horizons Engineering Family
LITTLETON, NH – Horizons Engineering, a leading provider of civil and structural engineering, land surveying, and environmental services throughout Northern New England, is pleased to announce that Summit Engineering has joined our team. Summit is a Vermont-based engineering firm known for its strong local expertise and dedication to client success.
This move aligns with Horizons Engineering’s strategic vision to expand its service offerings and strengthen its presence across the region. Summit Engineering has earned a reputation for delivering quality engineering and consulting services to a diverse range of clients. By joining forces with Horizons, Summit will gain access to additional resources, enhanced technological capabilities, and expanded growth opportunities.
Summit Engineering’s entire staff will remain with the company, ensuring continuity of service and seamless transitions for current clients. Summit’s presence in the South Burlington area will enhance Horizons’ ability to serve clients in Chittenden County and throughout Vermont.
Horizons Engineering has been providing engineering and surveying services for over 20 years. With now nine office locations throughout northern New England, the firm has built a strong reputation for client-centered solutions and a no-nonsense approach to problem-solving.
“Summit will bring a wealth of experience and history in surveying and engineering in Vermont to our already diverse team,” says Will Davis, Vice President who will help lead the transition. “Horizons has been working in Vermont for many years and we’re excited to have a location in Chittenden County that will help us expand our geographic footprint. Our new location will allow us to serve Summit’s clients and develop new relationships in the South Burlington area.”
“We are excited about the Summit staff becoming part of Horizons,” says firm president Andrew Nadeau, who worked at Summit from 1989-1990 when they were known as Pinkham Engineering. “As a young surveyor, I worked alongside Doug Hewitt and Doug Weber up in the office on Pine Street next to the chocolate factory and have fond memories of that time”. Andy’s brother Nate Nadeau worked for Pinkham/Summit for 20 years, before joining Horizons in 2010 to become its northern Vermont office manager and lead surveyor in the state and has been supporting Summit’s surveying efforts before this acquisition. “It just makes sense to join our companies, as we have similar services and history and the expansion allows Horizons to establish an office in a larger urban area of northern New England,” says Nate.
