Horizons Engineering provided land surveying services at this wind farm located in rural north-central Vermont.  The project consists of 21 turbines spread out over three miles of new ridge line access roads.  Boundary surveys of various parcels totaling more than 1,500 acres, as well as construction layout of many miles of power line upgrades was undertaken.

Project leaders and Horizons personnel were very cognizant of public reaction to the project.  Our surveyors would often deal with abutting land owners, and as representatives of Green Mountain Power, their professionalism and attitude was always paramount.

The project required back-country surveying missions in all weather conditions.  Due to the high level of scrutiny on this project, Horizons’ attention to quality and precision, as well as their expertise in colonial land surveying principles was instrumental to project success.
