Horizons provided soil investigation, survey, and design plans for the replacement of an undersized culvert on Davis Road at the crossing of Sewall Brook. We prepared for and conducted a kick-off meeting on the site followed by a collection of existing field data which included soil exploration, a topographic survey of the existing road, the brook, and any existing utilities. This data was used to create a base map to be used for design purposes. Preliminary level plans were then developed including a plan view, profile, and proposed precast box culvert. The plans included details of the culvert and roadway components. The preliminary plans were reviewed by the Town and the State River Engineer for input prior to the preparation of final plans for construction.
